Topic: What Was Finished?
Scripture: When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” John 19:30, NIV
Today’s Word
Are you going around feeling guilty, down on yourself because of past sins and mistakes, not expecting anything good? When Jesus declared “It is finished” on the cross, it included all the negatives things that are holding you back from becoming all that God wants you to be.
You need to announce to that guilt and shame, “It is finished. I’m done beating myself up, living condemned. God’s mercy is bigger than my mistakes. I am redeemed. I am restored. I am forgiven. I am a child of the Most High God.” What was finished on the cross? The past, the hurts, the regrets—it is finished. The poverty, the lack, the limited mindset—it is finished. The addictions, the depression, the dysfunction, the guilt, the shame, the self-pity—it is finished.
This is a new day. Things that have held you back are being broken right now. You’re going to step into a new level of freedom. You’re going to break generational curses and start generational blessings. You’re about to see beauty for ashes, healing, promotion, and breakthroughs. It’s headed your way!
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that when Jesus declared “It is finished,” it meant He had fully paid the incredible price for my sins. Thank You that all the negative things that are trying to hold me back have been defeated. I believe that I am Your child and I declare that I am free. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: Are thoughts playing loudly in your mind, telling you that the sickness is permanent, the depression will hinder you all your life, you’ll never take your business to a new level? That roar is trying to convince you to give up on what God promised. The reason it’s so loud and consistent is because the enemy knows he’s on your territory. He’s threatening you, hoping that you’ll shrink back, believe the lies, and settle for mediocrity. Start ignoring the roars and go after what God put in your heart.
The best thing you can do for your family, for your friends, is to be good to yourself, be kind to yourself, be merciful to yourself, be forgiving of yourself, be loving to yourself. You’re good to others, why aren’t you good to you? You compliment your coworker, but when’s the last time you complimented yourself? You admire their talent; why don’t you admire your talent? Start being good to you. That’s not being selfish, that’s not arrogant, that’s loving yourself.
